Australian spin legend Shane Warne has called for all-rounder Marcus Stoinis’ inclusion in the playing XI of the second Test match between India and Australia, which is scheduled to be played at the Optus Stadium in Perth. Warne has stated that he would be very disappointed if Stoinis isn’t picked for the Perth Test. The legendary leg-spinner further added that Stoinis’ all-round ability along with his energy and swagger will bring x-factor to the table for the hosts Australia.
Australia lost the opening Test, which was played at the Adelaide Oval, by 31 runs. The Aussie top order failed miserably with only the exception of Shaun Marsh’s 60-run knock in the second innings. Opener Aaron Finch and debutant Marcus Harris failed to provide a solid start to the hosts, while Usman Khawaja, who was coming back to the playing XI after an injury, was sent back early by the Indian bowlers.
